Summary:
This role oversees all sales aspects of the assigned channel(s) or territories. Responsible for developing, implementing, and executing the annual sales plan with regard to the channel and/or territory, working closely with colleagues to carry out the plan.
Experience selling consultive manufactured large products in any of the following industries is highly preferred:
Military
Government
Must enjoy and be successful at hunting for new business!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of assigned accounts, leading day-to-day as well as strategic sales contacts with current and prospective clients and coordinating with internal sales and operations team members to support each account’s needs.
- Identifying, pursuing, obtaining, and growing new accounts within channel or territory
- Working closely with established accounts and partner locations to optimize our penetration of the account – including identifying and developing new opportunities in client locations that have not yet been penetrated
- Identifies account and market/channel needs – maintaining expert knowledge of market dynamics and competitive issues. Recommends new products, methods, and sales programs, as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years managing key client relationships in B2B and sales and distribution environments, including direct experience in Military and Government sales
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven track record of maintaining and growing national and regional account relationships for immediate, on-going, and sustained sales success
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills and the ability to craft and deliver compelling, top-notch proposals
- Strong time management, problem solving, prioritization and planning skills
- Technologically savvy; experience using a CRM or Sales Force automation solution
- Ability to overcome obstacles and challenges to achieve results; strong negotiation skills
- Sales planning and forecasting experience
- Ability to travel regularly within assigned territory to meet with clients and vendors.
