Role Description The Student Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based at Nawaloka Hospital Negombo. This role involves coordinating educational and training activities for students and trainees, including scheduling sessions, organizing orientation programs, and maintaining accurate records of attendance and progress. The Student Coordinator will serve as the primary contact for student inquiries, support student engagement in hospital initiatives, and facilitate communication between students, academic institutions, and hospital departments. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing student programs, assisting with leadership and development activities, ensuring adherence to hospital policies, and preparing basic reports for management. The role also requires collaboration with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a positive, safe, and productive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with students, staff, and external partners.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and effective presentation abilities.
  • Candidates should possess a background in Education or training coordination, with experience supporting academic or clinical learning environments.
  • Candidates should possess Student Engagement and Student Leadership skills, including organizing activities, mentoring, and motivating student groups.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Education, Healthcare Management, Psychology, or a related field are beneficial.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in basic office software are preferred.
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, and familiarity with professional ethics and confidentiality, will be an advantage.
