You role as a member of the Infrastructure and Security team, will contribute to the delivery of a secure, high-quality ICT and digital environment for clients and staff while meeting State Library's service commitments.
About You
As a member of the Infrastructure and Security team, you will contribute to the delivery of a secure, high-quality ICT and digital environment for clients and staff while meeting State Library's service commitments.
You will bring strong technical expertise in the management of physical and virtual server infrastructure and services, cloud-delivered services, and supported applications. Your collaborative approach will support effective partnerships across the team, the ICT branch, and the broader business.
Responsibilities
- Delivering a sustainable ICT environment while providing professional and responsible services to staff and clients, including undertaking day-to-day work, achieving key service objectives, and meeting organisational priorities.
- Planning, administering, maintaining, and optimising ICT systems, servers, and services to ensure high availability, performance, and security, including performing updates, patching, and backups.
- Providing technical support to staff, troubleshooting system issues, and developing and maintaining system documentation, including build guides, configurations, and operational procedures to support effective systems operations.
- Collaborating and building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, external groups, and vendors to ensure ICT services are progressive, relevant, and solutions driven.
- Building strong working relationships across all levels of staff, providing mentoring and support to junior staff, casuals, and volunteers to enhance ICT capability and foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Contributing to a positive and safe work environment by ensuring conduct that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful, and ethical.
