Position Summary

The Tender Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the complete tendering process, ensuring the effective qualification, governance, preparation, submission, and follow-up of strategic business opportunities. The role plays a critical part in supporting the organization's growth objectives by maximizing bid success rates, ensuring compliance with internal governance requirements, and maintaining the highest standards of proposal quality and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end tender lifecycle, from opportunity identification and qualification through submission and post-submission activities.
  • Review and evaluate Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Quotation (RFQs), tenders, and related opportunities in accordance with the approved Go/No-Go process.
  • Assess opportunities based on strategic alignment, technical feasibility, commercial viability, resource availability, and compliance requirements.
  • Prioritize tender opportunities that align with the organization's strategic objectives, capabilities, and financial targets.
  • Lead the preparation, review, and consolidation of technical, commercial, administrative, and qualification submissions.
  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, Delivery, Finance, Procurement, Governance, and Executive Management teams to ensure timely and effective bid development.
  • Develop and manage tender schedules, including clarification requests, site visits, meetings, and submission milestones.
  • Review commercial proposals, pricing strategies, profitability requirements, and approval workflows prior to submission.
  • Ensure all required internal approvals and governance requirements are obtained before bid submission.
  • Oversee customer registrations, vendor onboarding, and prequalification activities across targeted clients and procurement platforms.
  • Monitor tender outcomes and conduct comprehensive win/loss analyses to identify lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, governance frameworks, approval matrices, and tender management procedures.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports, tender performance analyses, and key management updates.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in Tender Management, Bid Management, Proposal Management, or a similar role.
  • Experience within ICT, ELV, Cybersecurity, System Integration, or related technology sectors is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of tender governance, compliance requirements, commercial evaluation processes, and bid management best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience with government, semi-government, and enterprise procurement and tendering processes is considered an advantage.
