Job Purpose

The Timekeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate records of workforce attendance, working hours, overtime, leave, and manpower deployment. The role ensures timely and accurate payroll processing while providing reliable manpower reports to support project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily attendance for all employees, laborers, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of regular working hours, overtime, night shifts, weekends, and public holiday work.
  • Prepare daily manpower reports and submit them to site management.
  • Verify timesheets against site attendance records and supervisor approvals.
  • Coordinate with supervisors to resolve attendance discrepancies.
  • Maintain records of leave, absences, sick leave, and shift schedules.
  • Submit accurate attendance data to the payroll department within the required deadlines.
  • Monitor manpower allocation across different work locations and activities.
  • Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy attendance records.
  • Generate weekly and monthly attendance and manpower reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and labor regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing attendance documentation when required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. A diploma in Business Administration or a related field is an advantage.
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Timekeeper in construction, engineering, or industrial projects.
  • Experience working with large workforces and subcontractors is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of timekeeping and payroll systems.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of labor laws and construction site procedures.
