Position: Toronto Employment Relations Officer Role
Take on the role of an Employment Relations Officer with PIPSC in Toronto, ON. This full-time, hybrid position involves advising and representing members in various labour relations contexts for a 12-month period.
As part of PIPSC’s Labour Relations Services, you will play an essential role in supporting employees’ rights and addressing collective and individual issues. Your responsibilities will cover formal negotiations, grievance processes, and engagement with labour management committees, ensuring all members receive effective representation and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide advice and support on labour relations issues
• Assist in negotiating labour agreements and settlements
• Represent members at grievance and arbitration hearings
• Research and analyze legislation and agreements
• Conduct training sessions for stewards and staff
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 3-5 years relevant labour relations experience
• Demonstrated understanding of union principles
• Strong advocacy and representation skills
• Valid driver’s license and travel capability
