Summary of Role:
The Training & Development Lead oversees the needs, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of learning and development initiatives to enhance employee skills, performance, and career growth.
General Purpose of the Role:
The role focuses on building organizational capability through structured training programs, leadership development, and talent development strategies aligned with business objectives.
Role Description
Strategies and Policies:
- Develop and implement comprehensive learning strategies and programs aligned with company policies and SOPs.
Training Design and Management:
- Assess and identify training needs at organizational, departmental, and individual levels.
- Design and deliver targeted On-the-Job Training programs to address developmental needs.
- Support employee development initiatives including leadership development, career progression, and succession planning.
Systems, Processes & Procedures:
- Review and update training content regularly to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
- Standardize and maintain accurate reporting formats and documentation of all training activities.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) or tracking tools to manage training data and reporting.
Evaluation and Compliance:
- Ensure alignment with internal objectives and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Evaluate effectiveness of training programs, provide recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure alignment of training programs with organizational structure, competency frameworks and matrices.
Stakeholders Management & Partnerships:
- Build strong stakeholders map and network with relevant government and private organizations.
- Identify applicable institutional organization to partner with.
- Create strong partnerships with relevant government and private organizations.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional Certifications: APTD, CPLP, CPTD, SHRM, CIPD or equivalent (Preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on HR Talent Development, Training/Learning & Development experience
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the industrial, manufacturing, or recycling sectors; however, exceptional candidates from other industries will also be considered.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of competency frameworks and skill matrix development.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), portals and training tracking tools.
- Familiarity with training programs and materials development, design and delivery.
- Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities (Excel, dashboards, etc.).
Soft Skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management capability.
