Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in Port Harcourt. The Truck Driver will operate company trucks safely and efficiently to transport goods, materials, and equipment to and from company facilities, client sites, and designated locations. Daily tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitoring vehicle condition, and reporting any maintenance needs. The role involves loading and unloading cargo, securing loads, and ensuring proper documentation and logs are maintained in line with company policies and DOT regulations. The Truck Driver will collaborate with dispatch, logistics, and yard teams to follow scheduled routes, meet delivery timelines, and support safe operations within an oil and gas logistics environment.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license and proven Truck Driving experience operating heavy trucks in a commercial or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of DOT Regulations and commitment to safety, compliance, and accurate logkeeping.
- Experience with loading, Unloading, and securing cargo, with the physical ability to handle materials safely.
- Clean driving record and familiarity with regional road networks, preferably within Port Harcourt and surrounding areas.
- Ability to follow dispatch instructions, adapt to changing schedules, and communicate clearly with operations teams.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in oil and gas or port/logistics operations is an advantage.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a strong safety-first mindset in all driving and yard activities.
