Role Description The Trustee will provide strategic oversight and governance for Kenanne Corporation, ensuring that the organization’s mission, long-term goals, and ethical standards are upheld. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing organizational performance reports, participating in board meetings, and contributing to decisions on financial stewardship, risk management, and compliance. The Trustee will collaborate with leadership to support major initiatives, evaluate policies, and offer guidance on resource allocation and stakeholder engagement. This is an on-site role based in Uganda, requiring regular presence for meetings, reviews, and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in governance, board leadership, or oversight of organizational strategy and performance.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance in a corporate or nonprofit setting.
  • Ability to analyze complex information systems and business processes, with interest in technology-driven solutions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to ethical and transparent organizational practices.
  • Prior experience in the information technology, business integration, or management information systems sectors is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, Technology, or a related field; advanced qualifications or board training are a plus.
  • Willingness to serve actively on-site in Uganda and dedicate sufficient time to meetings, reviews, and strategic planning.
