The State of New Hampshire, Department of Military Affairs and Veterans Services has a full-time vacancy for Veteran Housing Program Coordinator.
Summary:
Plans, Coordinates and executes all aspects of the Ending Veteran Homelessness in New Hampshire (NH) Project for the State of New Hampshire. Leads integration of Veteran and military equities into federal, state, and municipal along with Veteran Service Organization and non-profit housing programs and initiatives that improve housing stability and wellness for Veterans, Service Members and their families.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of experience OR equivalent combination of 5 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in social work, public administration, public health, mental health, housing stability, mitigating homelessness, substance use disorder, age friendly public health systems or related field.
License/Certification: Valid driver’s license and/or access to transportation for statewide travel
Other Requirements: Must pass a State Police records check

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience as a program or project manager in housing stability and mitigating homelessness
2. Experience working with military veteran service organizations and is familiar with working with the military, Veterans Affairs, and civilian healthcare agencies
3. Experience developing collaborative partnerships across federal, state and non-profit organizations
4. Experience in the use of Veterans benefits and general population programs and initiatives that support ending Veteran homelessness

Responsibilities:
DETAILED TASKS (AGENCY/POSITION-SPECIFIC):
In coordination with providers of services for veterans experiencing homelessness, is the State’s program manager for the ending veteran homelessness through the “End Veteran homelessness in NH project charter”.
Plans, coordinates, facilitates and oversees the conduct of the New Hampshire’s “by weekly”, “by name” Veteran Case Conferencing with federal and state agencies and Veteran Service Organizations and other care provider organizations Responsible for planning and conducting the annual case conferencing system mapping assessment and the annual care provider working group.
Plans, coordinates, and facilitates the execution of monthly ending Veteran homelessness in NH project’s Veteran Steering committee composed of federal, state, and Veteran Service Organizations and leaders among the community of practice.
