As we continue our growth trajectory, we are seeking a Vice President, Finance to help build and lead a world-class finance function capable of supporting a complex, high-growth, publicly traded manufacturing and technology business.

The Opportunity

This is a critical leadership role for an experienced VP of Finance who combines deep technical accounting expertise with strong commercial judgment and operational execution.

The successful candidate will bring significant public company experience, ideally gained within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, industrial technology, robotics, or other complex hardware environments. They will be equally comfortable reviewing SEC filings, leading technical accounting assessments, managing external auditors, partnering with operational leaders, and helping drive strategic decision-making across the business.

We are looking for a hands-on operator who enjoys building processes, solving problems, and operating within a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior finance leader supporting the continued growth and evolution of the company as a public enterprise.
  • Lead technical accounting, financial reporting, and SEC filing processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Oversee preparation and review of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy filings, earnings support materials, and other public company reporting requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, advisors, legal counsel, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Lead implementation and enhancement of internal controls, SOX compliance programs, and public company governance processes.
  • Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning, operational performance, capital allocation, and growth initiatives.
  • Provide accounting leadership across acquisitions, integrations, purchase accounting, impairment analyses, equity compensation, complex revenue recognition matters, and other technical accounting areas.
  • Support investor relations, Board reporting, audit committee activities, and financing initiatives as required.
  • Develop scalable financial reporting, forecasting, and planning processes capable of supporting significant organizational growth.
  • Drive improvements across ERP systems, financial controls, reporting automation, and finance operations.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, and Program Management teams to improve visibility into operational performance and financial outcomes.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting organization.
  • Leverage AI, automation, and modern finance technologies to improve efficiency, reporting quality, and decision-making.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
  • Significant experience within publicly traded companies, including direct responsibility for SEC reporting and financial compliance.
  • Strong technical accounting background with demonstrated expertise in complex accounting matters.
  • Experience operating within post-IPO public company environments.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX requirements, and public company governance frameworks.
  • Proven experience working directly with external auditors, audit committees, and executive leadership teams.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and operational capabilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities evolve quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with executives, Board members, investors, auditors, and regulators.

Highly Desirable Experience

  • Manufacturing, aerospace, defense, industrial technology, robotics, electronics, or deep-tech hardware experience.
  • Experience supporting companies through IPO, de-SPAC, reverse merger, or other public market transactions.
  • Expertise in technical accounting areas including revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, business combinations, consolidation, and complex financial instruments.
  • Experience supporting acquisitive businesses and post-acquisition integrations.
  • Familiarity with government contracting environments, including FAR, DFARS, and defense industry compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with NetSuite and public company reporting systems.

  • Strengthen financial controls, reporting processes, and technical accounting capabilities.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant SEC reporting.
  • Improve operational finance visibility across manufacturing, supply chain, and business operations.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives, acquisitions, and capital markets activities.
  • Build a scalable finance infrastructure aligned with the long-term ambitions of the business.
