Role Overview

The General Vice President – Business Development will lead the strategic growth and expansion initiatives of the Real Estate Investments division. The role is responsible for identifying investment opportunities, building strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, and expanding the company’s commercial real estate portfolio.

This executive role requires a strong combination of business development leadership, investment expertise, market intelligence, and relationship management within the commercial real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Growth Strategy

  • Develop and execute the business development strategy for the real estate investments platform
  • Identify and pursue new investment opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances
  • Lead market expansion initiatives and support portfolio growth objectives
  • Build relationships with investors, developers, brokers, financial institutions, and government entities
  • Source off-market and institutional-grade investment opportunities

2. Investment & Deal Origination

  • Lead deal sourcing, acquisition strategies, and pipeline management
  • Oversee market assessments, feasibility studies, and investment evaluations
  • Support negotiations for acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and development agreements
  • Collaborate with investment, finance, and legal teams during due diligence and transaction execution
  • Evaluate financial returns, project viability, and strategic fit of opportunities

3. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Provide leadership and direction to the business development and investment teams
  • Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and networking forums
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partners
  • Present investment opportunities and business performance updates to executive leadership and investors

4. Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in commercial real estate
  • Identify new sectors, asset classes, and geographic markets for expansion
  • Support long-term strategic planning and portfolio positioning initiatives
  • Contribute to revenue forecasting and investment pipeline reporting

5. Financial & Commercial Oversight

  • Collaborate with finance teams on financial modeling, investment structuring, and ROI analysis
  • Support capital raising initiatives and investor engagement activities
  • Ensure commercial objectives align with corporate growth and profitability targets

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • MBA or Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in real estate investments, business development, or investment management
  • Proven track record in sourcing and closing large-scale real estate transactions
  • Strong network within the real estate investment and development market
