Role Description The Welfare Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Savar Upazila, responsible for promoting the well-being of employees and supporting a positive, compliant workplace culture. Day-to-day activities include monitoring working conditions, addressing employee welfare concerns, and coordinating access to social services and support programs. The role involves organizing and delivering training on topics such as workplace rights, health and safety, and personal development, while maintaining accurate records and reports. The Welfare Officer will conduct interviews with employees to understand needs and grievances, collaborate with HR on recruitment and onboarding support when necessary, and ensure adherence to company policies and relevant labor regulations. The position requires close coordination with management, production teams, and external stakeholders to implement welfare initiatives and continuous improvement in employee satisfaction.
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in employee welfare, social services, and workplace support programs.
  • Skills in designing and delivering training sessions related to employee development, health and safety, and compliance.
  • Strong interviewing and counseling abilities to assess employee needs and handle grievances with empathy and confidentiality.
  • Experience in recruiting and working with HR teams on workforce planning and onboarding is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of local labor laws, social compliance standards, and factory-based welfare practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with employees at all levels.
  • Organizational and documentation skills to maintain accurate records, reports, and follow-up actions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Resource Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in the garment or manufacturing sector is highly beneficial.
