Tasks

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of worker welfare standards across project sites, labour accommodation, and worker facilities.
  • Conduct regular welfare inspections covering accommodation, hygiene, food safety, transportation, recreation areas, and general living conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law, MOHRE regulations, client requirements, and company welfare standards.
  • Coordinate with client representatives during welfare inspections and audits, ensuring timely closure of observations and corrective actions.
  • Manage worker grievances and welfare concerns, coordinating with HR, HSE, project teams, camp management, and subcontractors to resolve issues.
  • Support worker inductions, welfare awareness programmes, engagement activities, and worker welfare forums.
  • Maintain welfare records, inspection reports, grievance logs, audit documentation, and management reports.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for a multicultural workforce.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 3 – 5 years of worker welfare, labour welfare, camp welfare, or employee relations experience within the UAE construction industry.
  • Experience working directly with blue-collar and multicultural workforces across project sites and labour accommodation.
  • Experience conducting welfare inspections, supporting client audits, preparing reports, and monitoring corrective actions.
  • Working knowledge of UAE Labour Law, MOHRE regulations, labour accommodation standards, grievance procedures, and worker welfare requirements.
  • Able to prepare inspection reports, compliance trackers, basic data summaries, and management updates using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using document management, HRMS, or digital inspection and tracking systems is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is required; Hindi, Urdu, or Arabic language skills are an advantage.
  • UAE Driving Licence is preferred, with the ability to visit project sites, labour accommodation, and worker facilities as required.
