About the Role
We are looking for a born writer, someone with a journalist’s nose for the real story and a novelist’s hand with a sentence. One who turns whatever material lands on their desk into something people genuinely look forward to reading. Tools are welcome for research, transcription and admin but the prose is yours, drafted by you and you can talk us through every choice. You deliver genuine craft and storytelling instinct, not a polished AI prompt.
What You Will Do
- Take raw material – notes, numerical data, corporate events & campaigns, half-formed ideas, historical reports, dashboards – and find the story worth telling inside it.
- Write a report that holds a reader from the first line to the last: structure, pacing, a hook, a turn, a landing.
- Report in corporate structure and language when needed – chase the detail, the quote, the fact that makes a piece true and alive.
- Develop a voice readers come back for and sustain it page after page.
Who you Are
- You can open a piece so it’s impossible to stop reading – and land it so it stays with someone.
- You have a reporter’s instinct for the real story: the angle, the detail, the human moment others walk past. You command structure and pace – you know when to slow down, when to cut, where the turn goes.
- You can write long without padding and short without losing the soul of it.
- You’ve likely written things that weren’t for work – fiction, essays, reportage, a newsletter of your own. The instinct predates the job.
- You read constantly and widely and it shows in how you write. If you enjoy comprehensive writing and narrations then you will love this!
