Role Description
The Yemen Ambassador role is a full-time remote position responsible for representing HackHalt Cyber Intelligence Council within Yemen and supporting its mission locally. The ambassador will build and maintain relationships with educational institutions, businesses, community organizations, and public sector stakeholders to promote HackHalt’s cybersecurity initiatives and training programs. Daily tasks include coordinating awareness campaigns, facilitating workshops and events (online or local), sharing relevant cyber threat information, and supporting the deployment of HackHalt resources in the region. The role also involves gathering feedback from local partners, identifying collaboration opportunities, and reporting on regional needs and developments in cybersecurity. The ambassador will work closely with global and regional teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and contribute to the expansion of HackHalt’s impact in Yemen.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and outreach skills, including the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, deliver presentations, and represent the organization in a professional manner.
- Knowledge or interest in cybersecurity, AI, or digital safety, with the ability to understand and explain basic cyber risk concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in community engagement, advocacy, education, or capacity-building initiatives, preferably within Yemen or similar contexts.
- Proficiency in English, with additional fluency in Arabic or local languages considered highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple initiatives, and collaborate effectively with international and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with regional digital challenges, public policy considerations, or civil society efforts related to cybercrime is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as International Relations, Communications, Computer Science, Public Policy, or Social Sciences) or equivalent practical experience.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, inclusivity, and the promotion of safe, secure digital practices across communities.
