Role Overview: We are seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team in Singapore. The role focuses on maintaining an accurate general ledger, ensuring timely month-end closures, maintaining internal controls over financial reporting, and supporting audits and tax filings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review accounts payable, journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, bank wires and fluctuation analyses.
- Maintain accurate standard operating procedures, financial records and documentation.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities within the accounting, close and reconciliation process.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and government authorities and external service providers.
- Prepare financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor cash flow and bank balances to ensure sufficient funding for operational requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in audit firms and/or in-house finance teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from a reputable university.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for accounting, data analysis and resolving breaks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Expertise in financial reporting standards, regulatory compliance, GST, and corporate tax requirements.
- Strong sense of integrity, responsibility, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Working knowledge of Python, SQL and financial markets is a plus.
