Position Overview

The Assistant Cruise Operations Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of cruise excursions across all assigned ports and destinations. The role assists in ensuring good guest services, shore excursion coordination, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management while maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesCruise Operations Support

●      Assist in managing day-to-day cruise operations for all vessel calls and ports.

●      Coordinate with internal departments, on-board teams, port authorities, and service providers to ensure seamless operations.

●      Monitor operational timelines and ensure all activities are executed according to schedule.

Shore Excursion & Guest Services Support

●      Coordinate with the Shore Excursions team to ensure smooth execution of destination experiences.

●      Assist in managing guest-related operational concerns and service recovery efforts.

●      Monitor guest feedback and support initiatives to improve service delivery.

Stakeholder Management

●      Maintain effective working relationships with port authorities, government agencies, terminal operators, vendors, and tourism partners.

●      Assist in coordinating permits, approvals, and documentation required for cruise operations.

●      Support contract administration and vendor performance monitoring.

Operational Planning & Reporting

●      Assist in preparing operational plans, vessel call schedules, and contingency plans.

●      Maintain operational records, reports, and performance data.

●      Analyze operational performance and identify areas for improvement.

●      Support budgeting, cost tracking, and invoice verification processes.

 

Team Support

●      Assist in coordinating operational teams across ports and destinations.

●      Support staff training and onboarding initiatives.

●      Act as the operational point of contact in the absence of the Cruise Operations Manager when required.

Qualifications

●      Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.

●      1-2 years of experience in cruise operations, port operations, tourism, hospitality, or logistics.

●      Knowledge of cruise industry operations, passenger handling, and destination management.

●      Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.

●      Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

●      Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems.

●      Willingness to travel and work flexible hours based on vessel schedules.
