The Role
The role of Chief Financial officer will report directly to the CEO. This is a senior Exec level role with really broad responsibility from commercial, strategic, operational and technical. It really is a broad, all encompassing role. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing Strategic leadership to the CEO, shareholders and Exec Team.
- Attending Board meetings, providing financial oversight to the business
- Leading a large multidisciplinary team, ensuring succession planning and development of team members
- Ensuring a strong governance and risk management framework, overseeing the Annual Audit and reporting processes and the budgeting & forecasting processes.
- Partnering key business functions to improve operational effectiveness
- Managing third party relationships as required
- Review and assess capital expenditure, investment opportunities and strategic initiatives.
- Other ad hoc duties as required
Your Profile
To be considered for this rare opportunity you will need the following characteristics and attributes:
- CA or equivalent a must
- Proven commercial, strategic and technical capability – with demonstrable examples
- Strong large team leadership experience
- Communicates effectively managing stakeholders.
- An ability to influence and challenge the status quo, looking for opportunities to improve the business
- An entrepreneurial mindset where you can adapt quickly when this business pivots
- Proven negotiation skills, delving into contracts and commercial outcomes
- Presence and a dynamic energy
