Job Purpose:
The Deputy Manager – Industrial Relations is responsible for managing industrial relations and ensuring compliance with all applicable labour and statutory regulations at the Thar site. The role involves liaising with regulatory authorities, advising management on industrial relations and compliance matters, resolving employee relations issues, and fostering strong relationships with external institutions to support smooth business operations while ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labour and industrial regulations, including FA, SIRA, EOBI, SESSI, WPPF/WWF, and other relevant statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities and government institutions on compliance-related matters.
- Provide timely advice and support to management on industrial relations, labour law, and regulatory issues.
- Resolve employee relations and compliance matters at both site and Head Office level.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local regulatory stakeholders to support smooth business operations.
- Monitor changes in labour legislation and ensure organizational compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- 5-6 years of relevant experience in industrial relations, statutory compliance, labour law compliance, and regulatory coordination, preferably in the industrial, manufacturing, power, or energy sector.
- Sound knowledge of Pakistan's and Sindh's industrial, labour, and commercial laws.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of the local language will be an added advantage.
