But we know there are tens of thousands of Australians who could benefit from what we offer and have never heard of us — and that's the problem we want to solve.

Where we are with digital marketing

We'll be upfront: digital marketing isn't something we've cracked yet. We've run social media campaigns and dipped our toes into online advertising with mixed results, and our web presence doesn't yet reflect the quality of the service we deliver. We've relied heavily on what we're good at — exceptional service and organic word of mouth — rather than building a digital engine to go alongside it.

That's about to change. We've made the decision to properly invest in this area for the first time, and we're looking for the right person to lead it. Not to manage a small piece of an existing function — to build it, own it, and grow it.

This is a genuine opportunity to come in at the ground level of something with real momentum behind it, and leave a mark that's measurable in the growth of the business.

The role

This is a senior individual contributor role with broad scope. You'll lead our digital marketing function across organic search, content, social, email, and customer lifecycle — working closely with our tech team and reporting directly to leadership.

You'll bring structure to what has been ad hoc, build the systems and processes that don't yet exist, and develop the channels that will make GPU findable by the people who need us most. You'll be accountable to commercial outcomes, not just marketing metrics.

The audiences we serve — NDIS participants, aged care clients, support coordinators, and care managers — are specific, and the way you communicate with them needs to reflect that. An understanding of these communities, or a demonstrated ability to get up to speed quickly, will be important.

What we're looking for

We care most about what you've built and what it produced. We want to see that you've taken something from underperforming to working — a channel, a campaign, a web presence — and that you can tell us clearly what you did and what changed as a result.

You should be comfortable operating without a lot of infrastructure around you. There's no large marketing team, no agency on retainer, and no established playbook to follow. You'll need to be hands-on, adaptable, and confident setting your own priorities.

Strong writing is essential. A commercial mindset is essential. Curiosity about data and a genuine interest in the sectors we serve will take you a long way.

  • 3–6 years digital marketing experience
  • SEO and content strategy
  • Email marketing and automation
  • Social and paid media
  • Analytics and performance reporting
  • CRM experience
  • B2B relationship building
  • Healthcare or NDIS sector background (advantageous)
  • Proven experience building from scratch (essential)
