Direct the Policy and Heritage Division as the Director of Planning Policy in the Town’s Planning and Development Department. Leverage your extensive experience in municipal governance and comprehensive planning.
In this pivotal role, you’ll report to the Commissioner, driving growth management through policy development and land-use advisory. You will also oversee the Heritage Planning Manager and ensure alignment with strategic priorities while also enhancing team collaboration and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage Planning Policy and Heritage services for effective governance
• Mentor staff through clear expectations and performance reviews
• Create and implement the divisional Business Plan aligned with goals
• Control operational budgets, ensuring transparency and efficiency
• Provide comprehensive advice on land use and legislative matters
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Planning or Public Administration preferred
• Minimum 14 years of relevant municipal experience
• RPP designation required with CIP and OPPI membership
• In-depth knowledge of planning legislation
• Exceptional analytical and project management skills
