Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to oversee the Ministry's Volunteer Management Department and drive the development of a sustainable and impactful national volunteer ecosystem. The role is responsible for shaping volunteerism strategies, fostering cross-sector partnerships, enhancing community engagement, and leading initiatives that promote volunteer participation in alignment with national priorities. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening social responsibility, developing innovative volunteer programs, and driving measurable social impact across the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the Ministry's volunteer management strategy, ensuring alignment with national priorities and organizational objectives.
- Develop policies, frameworks, and governance models to regulate and enhance volunteer programs across the UAE.
- Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with government entities, private sector organizations, non-profit organizations, and community partners to expand volunteer opportunities.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of national volunteer initiatives, campaigns, and community engagement programs.
- Develop and monitor performance indicators, impact assessments, and reports to measure the effectiveness of volunteer programs and social responsibility initiatives.
- Design innovative programs to attract, engage, develop, and retain volunteers while promoting a culture of volunteerism across society.
- Lead initiatives to match volunteers with suitable opportunities based on skills, competencies, and community needs.
- Oversee volunteer training, capability-building, and awareness programs to enhance volunteer effectiveness and community impact.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices in volunteer management, stakeholder engagement, and service delivery.
- Manage departmental operations, including strategic planning, budgeting, performance management, governance, and resource allocation.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in volunteer management, community development, corporate social responsibility (CSR), public sector management, or social impact programs.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing teams, strategic initiatives, and stakeholder partnerships.
- Proven experience in developing policies, strategies, and large-scale community or volunteer initiatives.
- Strong experience building partnerships across government, private, and non-profit sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in performance management, governance, and strategic planning.
- Experience working within the UAE Government or public sector is highly desirable.
