Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Economic Development Associate to support a variety of high-impact initiatives. This position plays a critical role in securing funding, ensuring compliance, fostering government partnerships, and advancing community and economic development projects. Delta takes on a client’s aspiration, assists in defining the project, and deliberately executes the strategy to make that aspiration a reality. Delta has been delivering on behalf of its clients for over 38 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and manage grant proposals for federal, state, and local funding opportunities
- Track grant compliance, reporting, and performance measures
- Conduct research and data analysis to support planning and policy initiatives
- Coordinate with clients, public agencies, and project partners to develop competitive funding applications.
- Assist with government relations and stakeholder engagement
- Support long-term planning for economic growth and community resilience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Planning, Economic Development, or related field (Master’s a plus)
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Experience in grant writing, project management, or government relations preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Passion for making a positive impact in communities
