Role Description The Facilities Management Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Muscat. This role involves performing day-to-day building and equipment maintenance, including scheduled inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs across various facility systems. The technician monitors facility conditions, identifies issues, and carries out troubleshooting to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors and contractors when needed, complying with safety standards and FM procedures, documenting maintenance activities, and supporting continuous improvement in facility performance. The role also requires working closely with the facilities management team to plan maintenance activities, respond to service requests, and support ongoing real estate development and operations.
Qualifications
- 5+ Years of Experience
- Candidates should possess strong Facility Management (FM) skills, including understanding of building systems, safety standards, and FM procedures.
- Candidates should possess Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills to perform preventive and corrective work on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Candidates should possess Building Maintenance and Troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues, carry out repairs, and maintain facility reliability.
- Relevant technical diploma or certification in mechanical, electrical, civil, or facilities engineering is preferred.
- Experience in facilities management or building maintenance within commercial or mixed-use properties is an advantage.
- Ability to read technical drawings, use maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment, and maintain accurate records.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external service providers.
