Located in Sydney and reporting directly to the CEO, the GM Business Development will work alongside other senior executives on the development and execution of strategy and major business development activities. You will play a critical role in expanding our market presence and accelerating revenue growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Undertake strategic research to remain abreast of emerging market trends and growth opportunities.
· Work collaboratively with the CEO and Board to develop a compelling overall organisational strategy, with a particular focus on delivering strong organic growth plus targeted M&A.
· Lead the development and delivery of decision-making frameworks, financial models and business case templates for the evaluation of strategic initiatives and projects.
· Work collaboratively with senior executives across the group to develop compelling business cases, financial budgets, and implementation plans for strategic growth activities.
· Work collaboratively with senior executives to support strategy execution and delivery.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills, with significant experience presenting at a Board level.
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
· Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (bachelor degree or MBA preferred) with at least 5 years’ experience working at a senior executive level.
· Exposure to Board level engagement, including making budget and business case presentations to directors and seeking approvals for acquisitions and major growth strategies.
· Significant experience building detailed financial models and businesses cases for strategies and/or M&A transactions.
· Experience in developing strategy and business case evaluation frameworks and financial models.
· Experience working in successful integration and/or implementation teams.
· Experience in the EdTech or education sector preferred (not essential).

SALARY PACKAGE
An attractive salary package is on offer for the right candidate, including:
- base salary in the range of AUD $250k – $270k (inclusive of statutory superannuation)
- STI in the range of 15% to 20% of base salary
