Key Responsibilities
- Report to Chief Public Mission Officer to carry out public mission work Lead Entrepreneurship Team to design and lead entrepreneurship programs, from ideation bootcamps to investor demo days, ensuring they deliver measurable values to startups
- Build and manage a high-impact mentor network, connecting founders with industry experts, researchers and seasoned entrepreneurs
- Forge strategic partnerships with academia, industries, accelerators, and funding bodies to expand opportunities for startups
- Oversee the incubation portfolio, tracking progress, identifying growth barriers, and providing hands-on guidance to founders through regular reviews
- Represent the incubator (Cyberport) at conferences, pitch events, and policy forums, positioning Cyberport as a leader in innovation and startup ecosystem
- Manage budgets, resources and KPls to ensure sustainable growth of the entrepreneurship program
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 15 years+ proven experience in startup incubation, venture building, or entrepreneurship and innovation program leadership, preferably large organization, quango, or public organization
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology Management or related fields
- Master level degree in relevant fields such as MBA or MSc is an advantage
- Experience working with startups, incubators, accelerators, or technology & science parks
- Excellent communication and story telling skills to inspire, persuade and mobilize diverse audiences
- Strategic thinking/ mindset paired with hands-on execution
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, from founders to government agencies
- Strong network within innovation, investment and startups ecosystem
- Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate startup viability and market potential
- Proficiency in planning, executing, and overseeing multiple projects through people with strong leadership
- Demonstrated resilience and ability to perform effectively under pressure
- Excellent command of Cantonese, Chinese and English (written and spoken)
