Key Responsibilities
- Lead the global AML/CFT programme, including KYC, sanctions screening (OFAC), transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting.
- Manage compliance programmes under Canadian (PCMLTFA/FINTRAC), Sudanese (CBOS/FSO), and US (FinCEN MSB) regulations.
- Develop compliance frameworks for new markets, including the UK, Europe, Egypt, Ethiopia, and Syria.
- Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulators across all active markets.
- Conduct due diligence on banking partners, FX counterparties, and KYC technology providers.
- Prepare compliance reports and support internal and external audits.
- Build and grow the compliance team as business needs evolve.

Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in Compliance, AML, or Financial Crime within a regulated financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of FINTRAC/PCMLTFA, CBE/FRA, or CBOS regulations; multi-jurisdictional experience is a plus.
- Experience managing OFAC-sensitive, high-risk remittance corridors.
- Proven experience designing and managing AML/CFT programmes, including KYC, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
- Track record of building and improving compliance frameworks.
- Strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Self-driven with excellent organizational skills and regulatory knowledge.
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
