REQUIREMENTS:

-The candidate must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), or a related discipline.

-Strong communication skills are required, with fluency in English (both written and verbal) and proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

-The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE leadership roles, demonstrating a proven track record in industries such as Manufacturing, Construction, Fabrication, or Oil and Gas.

-Hands-on experience in leading HSE teams, managing compliance with regulations, and supporting operational excellence in complex, high-risk environments is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role is responsible for leading and guiding HSE Representatives to ensure safe, efficient, and fully compliant daily operations. This includes coordinating HSE teams and resources in close collaboration with operational teams, monitoring KPIs and individual deliverables to ensure alignment with departmental objectives and facilitating cross-departmental coordination to support HSE initiatives. The position also manages government licenses and regulatory reporting in accordance with local requirements, supports the HSE Manager in personnel development, training, and succession planning, and ensures the consistent implementation of Safe Work Practices and strict adherence to Life Saving Rules across all activities.

In addition, the role oversees subcontractors to ensure compliance with HSE standards and procedures, conducts field verification and validation of safety measures, and supervises high-risk activities to ensure effective risk mitigation and safe execution. Responsibilities also include monitoring and following up on near misses, unsafe acts and conditions, incident investigations, and Lessons from Incidents (LFI) to continuously strengthen the organization’s safety culture. The position oversees HSE aspects throughout project execution to ensure ongoing compliance and participates in or leads incident investigations based on their complexity and severity.
