Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted HR partner, providing guidance on employee relations, labor law, and compliance matters.
  • Manage employee relations cases, including grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace disputes.
  • Maintain relationships with the Labor Office and other government agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support and improve HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and initiatives aligned with business objectives and local regulations.
  • Advise managers on employee matters, contract renewals, disciplinary actions, and separation processes.
  • Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement, retention, and talent development initiatives.
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing workplace culture.
  • Stay up to date with labor law developments and HR best practices.
  • Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably within a multinational environment.
  • Knowledge of Japanese labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Experience working with the Labor Office and relevant government agencies.
  • Native / Fluent Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent) and business-level English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex HR matters with confidence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Employee Relations (ER) or labor compliance.
  • Exposure to HR projects, process improvement, or change management initiatives.
