Role Description

The Investor role is a remote, contract position responsible for evaluating and supporting initiatives aligned with World Government’s mission.

Day-to-day tasks include reviewing investment opportunities, conducting financial and impact analyses, and preparing concise reports and recommendations for leadership.

The role involves monitoring funded projects, assessing performance against agreed metrics, and suggesting adjustments to optimize outcomes.

The Investor will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure resources are directed toward sustainable, high-impact initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in investment analysis, portfolio management, or impact investing, with the ability to assess risk, return, and social outcomes.
  • Strong financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting skills using common analytical tools and software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven capacity to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a contract-based environment.
  • Familiarity with global governance, sustainability, or social impact frameworks is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) are a plus.
