Role Description
An IT Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and supporting an organization’s core IT systems such as servers, networks, cloud environments, and enterprise platforms. The role ensures systems are stable, secure, and performing efficiently to support business operations.
This role sits within IT Operations and supports system reliability, uptime, and infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring servers, networks, and IT infrastructure performance
- Supporting installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems
- Troubleshooting system, network, and infrastructure issues
- Managing user access, permissions, and system security controls
- Supporting cloud infrastructure operations and migrations
- Assisting with backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
- Working with IT support teams to resolve technical incidents
- Maintaining documentation of infrastructure systems and configurations
- Supporting upgrades, patches, and system deployments
- Ensuring compliance with IT policies, security standards, and governance
Qualifications (Must-have)
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 1–5+ years of experience in IT support, infrastructure, or systems administration
- Basic understanding of networking (LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Knowledge of Windows Server or Linux environments
- Familiarity with IT troubleshooting and system monitoring
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and documentation ability
- Ability to work in incident-driven or shift-based environments (if required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with infrastructure tools such as VMware, Hyper-V, or container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of IT service management tools like ServiceNow or Jira Service Management
- Understanding of networking tools and protocols (Cisco systems, firewalls, routing, switching)
- Exposure to scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash
- Experience with backup and monitoring tools (e.g., Veeam, Nagios, Zabbix)
- Basic cybersecurity awareness (firewalls, endpoint protection, access control)
- IT certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA are a plus
- Experience in enterprise environments (banking, telecom, logistics, or government)
