Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site IT Specialist (Education) role based in Amman with potential travelling to Malta, KSA and other countries. The IT Specialist will support and maintain the organization’s and clients' IT infrastructure, including networks, workstations, and production-related systems, with a focus on training and educating users. Daily tasks include installing, configuring, and updating hardware and software; monitoring system performance; and ensuring secure, reliable access to network resources. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing help desk support, and documenting solutions and procedures. The IT Specialist will also develop and deliver training sessions, guides, and best-practice materials to enhance digital literacy and efficient technology use across the organization. Collaboration with production, operations, and management teams is essential to align IT services with business and educational needs.

Qualifications

  • Strong Information Technology foundation with a minimum of 7 year experience, preferably in the education sector, including experience with operating systems, hardware, software deployment, and user support.
  • Hands-on Network Administration skills, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of routers, switches, and wireless networks.
  • Proficiency in Troubleshooting technical issues, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing effective, timely solutions.
  • Knowledge of Network Security practices, including access control, patch management, and protection of sensitive data.
  • Customer Service skills to support and train users at different technical levels, with clear communication and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience designing or delivering IT training, workshops, or educational materials is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco or similar) are an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work on-site in Amman, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a production and event-driven environment.
