Junior Support Officer (AMCHAM)

The Junior Support Officer supports AMCHAM’s day-to-day operations across key areas such as events, communications, membership accounting, and government affairs. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is detail-oriented, service-minded, adaptable, and comfortable supporting a wide range of administrative, coordination, and member-facing tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support AMCHAM programs and operations across assigned areas, which may include events, communications, membership, accounting, or government affairs.
  • Assist with planning, coordination, documentation, follow-up, and reporting for assigned projects and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, contact lists, and project files as needed.
  • Prepare basic documents, communications, invoices, receipts, attendee lists, briefing materials, or reports depending on assignment.
  • Respond to inquiries from members, partners, vendors, or stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support member and stakeholder communications, including email updates, confirmations, reminders, and basic content preparation.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, events, committees, and other AMCHAM activities.
  • Assist with routine tracking, reconciliation, research, or reporting related to assigned work areas.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned to support AMCHAM operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Communications, Accounting, International Relations, Political Science, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in administration, events, communications, customer service, finance support, government affairs, or a similar role is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort handling records, documents, schedules, invoices, reports, or other administrative materials.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and able to learn database/CRM systems quickly.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Professional communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Thai
  • High integrity and discretion when handling member, financial, policy, or organizational information.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using CRM, membership database, event registration, email marketing, or basic accounting systems.
  • Basic understanding of accounts receivable, event logistics, communications, research, or stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience supporting events, registrations, member engagement, communications, committees, or advocacy-related activities.
  • Customer-service mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

Work Details

Location: Bangkok, Thailand; in-office

Contract Term: Six-month contract

Compensation: 20,000 THB per month
