Job description:
We are seeking a responsible, knowledgeable, and service-oriented Public Relations Officer (PRO) to manage government relations and regulatory compliance for our institution. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with UAE authorities, especially in education sector compliance & legal.
The PRO will play a vital role in ensuring smooth coordination with government and regulatory bodies, supporting legal operations, and representing the institution with professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Government Liaison & Legal Compliance
Coordinate and manage activities with the UAE authorities, including:
MOHRE, GDRFA/ICA, RAKEZ, RAK DOK, RAKTA, and Ministry of Education (MOE)
RAK Municipality, FTA, and other strategic authorities
Process and track:
Student and employee visas, Emirates ID, labor contracts, and work permits
University operational licenses, establishment cards, and approvals
Ensure compliance with UAE laws, education regulations, and institutional policies.
Monitor expiry dates and ensure timely renewals to avoid penalties.
2. Public Relations & Institutional Representation
Represent the university in government offices and official transactions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, community partners, and public entities.
Support government communication matters related to university operations and accreditation.
3. Documentation & Records Management
Prepare, submit, and verify required documentation for approvals, permits, licenses, and certifications.
Maintain accurate logs, digital records, and secure storage of confidential documents.
Keep management informed with timely status reports and compliance updates.
4. Employee and Student Services Support
Assist HR with onboarding requirements—medical tests, biometrics, visas, and legal filings.
Assist Admissions and Student Services in MOE approvals for student documentation (equivalency, visa cases, etc.).
Guide employees and students through compliance procedures professionally.
5. Coordination & Operational Efficiency
Work closely with HR, Accounts, Administration, and Academic Teams for smooth operations.
Identify compliance risks and take proactive measures.
Maintain efficient workflow to ensure continuous institutional readiness.

Qualifications & Skills Required
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Relations, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of UAE-based PRO experience.
Strong experience interacting with RAKEZ, MOHRE, GDRFA, RAK DOK, RAKTA, and MOE.
Technical & Soft Skills
Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
Strong knowledge of UAE government systems and e-service platforms.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
