Role Description The Liaisoning Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The role involves regularly visiting and coordinating with government departments, local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders to facilitate approvals, permissions, and project clearances. The Liaisoning Manager will maintain up-to-date records of applications, compliance documents, and communication, ensuring that timelines and statutory requirements are met. This position will work closely with internal teams such as legal, operations, and finance to understand requirements, prepare necessary documentation, and resolve issues. The role also includes monitoring regulatory changes, representing the organization in official meetings, and providing timely status updates and reports to senior management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in liaisoning with government authorities, regulatory agencies, and local bodies, ideally within the Kolkata or West Bengal region.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations, permits, and compliance processes applicable to the organization’s sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to interact professionally at multiple levels.
- Solid organizational and documentation abilities, including tracking applications, managing records, and preparing reports.
- Ability to work on-site, travel frequently within the Kolkata metropolitan area, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English and local languages commonly used in Kolkata, along with basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, word processing).
- Demonstrated integrity, discretion in handling sensitive information, and commitment to ethical and compliant practices.
