Management and Program Analyst Jobs in Washington, USA at US Architect of the Capitol

The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Capitol Grounds and Arboretum (CGA). The Analystperforms tasks in support of program and administrative functions including budgeting and financial management, procurement and inventory controls, advising management on effective strategic program operations, program analysis and special projects.

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, an applicant’s one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for successful job performance.

To qualify at the GS-12 level, your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to at least the GS-11 level in the federal service. Examples of qualifying experience include the following types of tasks performed on a regular and recurring basis:

  • Providing recommendations of methods and procedures for the conduct of administrative support functions or program operations.
  • Assisting with budgetary functions of large scale organization projects.
  • Presenting briefings on issues and corrective actions both orally and in writing to leadership on recommendations to resolve problems of ineffectiveness and inefficiency of program operations.

To qualify at the GS-13 level, your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to at least the GS-11 level in the federal service. Examples of qualifying experience include the following types of tasks performed on a regular and recurring basis:

  • Developing methods and procedures for the conduct of administrative support functions or program operations.
  • Conducting studies of administrative and functional work processes to identify, analyze and recommend solutions to deficiencies in organizational structure, staffing, administrative procedures, work processes and workload distribution;
  • Performing cost benefit evaluations, price analysis and other budgetary functions of large scale organization projects.
  • Presenting briefings on issues and corrective actions both orally and in writing to leadership on recommendations to resolve problems of ineffectiveness and inefficiency of program operations.
