JOB BRIEF

• The Manager, Industrial Relations is responsible for overseeing employee relations, labor compliance, and case management processes within the organization. This role ensures adherence to Philippine labor laws, manages disciplinary actions and investigations, represents the company in labor proceedings, and fosters a fair and compliant workplace environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Case Management & Employee Relations

  • Manage end-to-end administrative cases, from incident report to resolution.
  • Conduct and oversee investigations on employee misconduct, grievances, and disputes.
  • Issue and review Notices to Explain (NTE), administrative hearing documentation, and Notices of Decision (NOD).
  • Ensure strict observance of due process in all disciplinary actions.
  • Provide guidance to HR and Operations on proper handling of employee cases.
  • Maintain case database, documentation, and status tracking.

Labor Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor updates from DOLE and other regulatory bodies, and cascade changes to management.
  • Oversee implementation of the company code of conduct and disciplinary procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation and safekeeping of 201 files and case records in line with data privacy laws.
  • Conduct compliance audits on employee movement, disciplinary actions, and documentation.

Labor Relations & Legal Handling

  • Represent the company in hearings, mandatory conferences, and proceedings with DOLE and NLRC.
  • Prepare position papers, affidavits, and other legal documents in coordination with Legal Counsel.
  • Manage and monitor the status of filed labor cases and ensure timely submission of requirements.
  • Handle employee complaints escalated to government agencies.

Policy Development & Advisory

  • Develop, review, and update employee relations policies and disciplinary guidelines.
  • Provide expert advice to management on labor law application and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure consistency in disciplinary actions across departments.

Audit & Compliance Support

  • Conduct training for leaders on employee discipline, due process, and labor law compliance.
  • Educate employees on company policies, code of conduct, and grievance procedures.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare reports on employee cases, trends, and disciplinary actions.
  • Analyze root causes of employee relations issues and recommend preventive measures.
  • Provide updates to HR leadership on case status and compliance risks.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Legal Management, or related field.
  • At least 5–8 years of experience in employee relations, labor relations, or industrial relations.
  • Strong background in Philippine labor laws and case handling.
  • Experience handling DOLE and NLRC cases is required.
  • Experience in high-volume or complex workforce environments is an advantage.
