Marketing Team Leader Jobs in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia at Major Training Group (RTO 6139)
Title: Marketing Team Leader
Company: Major Training Group (RTO 6139)
Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
Team Leader – Marketing Role
Lead the marketing team across two established RTO brands — Major Training and Churchill Education
Major Training Group is one of Queensland's leading registered training organisations. Through our two brands — Major Training and Churchill Education — we deliver nationally recognised certifications, qualifications, and accredited training across construction, transport and logistics, work health and safety, leadership and business, with deep relationships across industry, government, and Defence.
Major Training is our flagship brand, delivering nationally recognised certifications, qualifications, diplomas, licensing, and ticketing across the industries that keep Queensland working. Churchill Education complements this with a specialism in Recognition of Prior Learning — turning the skills and experience our students already hold into nationally recognised qualifications. Together, the two brands cover the full pathway from initial training through to formal qualification.
We need a commercially sharp Marketing Team Leader to lead marketing across both brands, manage a team of channel specialists, oversee our consolidated agency partners and consultants, and help drive the next stage of growth.
This is a hands-on role for someone who leads and executes.
You'll be inside HubSpot, Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, GA4, the website CMS, and AI tooling regularly. You'll set strategy and you'll get into the work. You'll use AI tools to lift your team's output and execution speed.
You do not need to know every tool already. You do need to learn fast.
The role
Reporting into senior leadership at Major Training Group, you'll run day-to-day marketing across both brands and lead a team of channel specialists. You'll own the marketing strategy, own the marketing budget, oversee the agency relationships, and bring the technical chops to actually know whether the marketing is working — through proper digital attribution, call tracking, analytics, and CRM data.
This is a role that works across multiple brands and teams. You'll lead campaign delivery across both brands and our different training divisions, coordinate priorities, and make sure projects move efficiently from planning through to launch. You'll work closely with sales, operations, and senior leadership to align marketing with commercial priorities.
Key responsibilities
Lead an acquisition-first strategy across paid, organic, partner, and referral channels — Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, SEO, CRO, and email
Own the marketing budget against revenue, enrolment, cost-per-lead, cost-per-enrolment, and ROAS targets
Own customer marketing in HubSpot — alumni reactivation, cross-sell to second qualifications, referrals, reviews, lifecycle flows, segmentation, lead scoring, and lead routing
Own digital attribution and call tracking end-to-end — phone-led enquiries are a meaningful share of training-sector leads and most teams under-measure this
Own a technically robust SEO strategy — site architecture, internal linking, page speed, schema, topical authority — not just content
Monitor campaign performance and report on outcomes, opportunities and improvements
Lead the team day-to-day including 1:1s, hiring, accountability, prioritisation, and performance
Own the marketing strategy across both brands — one plan, kept current, contributed to by all channel specialists
Brief and manage external partners including paid media and SEO providers
Run the weekly marketing check-in as the team's operating rhythm; champion transparent ways of working via shared project and communication platforms
Drive CRO improvements across top course pages, landing pages, and the enquiry funnel
Provide creative direction for video — knowing the difference between brand video, acquisition video, and customer marketing video, and briefing the team accordingly
Understand the podcast space and how to grow and promote a branded podcast — guest strategy, repurposing, distribution
Understand brand architecture — how two brands operate under one group, where they reinforce each other, and where they stay distinct
Identify ways to improve processes, systems and team workflow

4-7 years in marketing within a considered-purchase or service business

Hands-on experience with customer marketing in a CRM platform (HubSpot preferred) — lifecycle flows, segmentation, lead scoring
Strong understanding of acquisition channels and what good performance looks like — you've owned CPL and ROAS targets, not just watched them
You've worked inside the tools yourself, not just managed agencies around them

High personal accountability — you execute, you learn quickly, you don't hide behind decks
