We are currently looking for a strategic, hands‑on Product GTM Strategy Lead to join us at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) on a freelance 12‑month contract.

DCT Abu Dhabi plays a central role in driving the sustainable growth of the emirate’s culture and tourism sectors, positioning Abu Dhabi as a global destination for culture, creativity, and tourism. This role offers the opportunity to support a dynamic and fast‑growing function by shaping regional product and brand strategy, strengthening operational processes, and representing the entity in strategic discussions with industry, government, and institutional stakeholders.

Role Overview

The Product GTM Strategy Lead will translate high‑level strategic briefs into decision‑ready workplans and measurable outputs. You will own diagnostic reviews, strategy refreshes, and the design of a phased relaunch, balancing strategic direction with tactical delivery. The role suits a senior thinker‑doer who can lead complex, multi‑stakeholder projects, present confidently to executives, and build practical frameworks and governance for regional scale.

Key Responsibilities

Audience & Segmentation

  • Define and prioritise target customer groups across MENA by growth potential and strategic fit.
  • Produce audience profiles, personas, and segment playbooks to guide product, marketing, and partnership decisions.

Existing Product Channel Review

  • Audit current acquisition, engagement, and retention channels; assess effectiveness, ROI, and gaps.
  • Recommend reallocation of marketing investment, quick wins, and medium‑term channel strategies.

ProductMarketFit Strategy Refresh

  • Update the product‑market‑fit hypothesis and produce a 12–24 month roadmap aligned to business objectives.
  • Align growth, product, and messaging priorities; identify partnership and distribution opportunities.

Product GTM Relaunch

  • Design a phased relaunch narrative and execution plan to re‑energise brand and product presence across MENA.
  • Define KPIs, success metrics, launch cadence, and post‑launch optimisation focus areas.

Brand Identity Refresh

  • Assess current brand perception and recommend visual and tone‑of‑voice updates to reflect leadership ambitions.
  • Produce pragmatic guidelines and implementation checklists for roll‑out across channels and partners.

Product Organisation Audit

  • Review team structure, role clarity, and capability across Brand, Growth, and Partnerships.
  • Benchmark against high‑performing organisations and recommend org design, hiring, and capability development for regional scale.

Executive Advisory – Product GTM

  • Act as a strategic adviser to the Executive Director and senior leadership on GTM, positioning, and market priorities.
  • Present findings and recommendations to C‑level stakeholders; maintain an ongoing executive briefing cadence.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product marketing, GTM strategy, brand management, or related roles; demonstrable delivery in digital or gaming/entertainment sectors.
  • 5+ years operating in the GCC (preferred) with strong familiarity with MENA consumer behaviour, channels, and partners.
  • Proven experience defining audience segments and converting research into strategy.
  • Track record delivering end‑to‑end GTM programmes and relaunches from brief to in‑market.
  • Brand identity development and agency management experience.
  • Comfortable advising and presenting to senior executives and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Data‑driven: able to interpret market and channel data and make prioritised recommendations.
  • Experience conducting capability audits and org benchmarking is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal English; experience working across government and commercial environments is a plus.

  • Experience in start‑up, build‑phase or high‑growth environments strongly valued.
  • Familiarity with regional partnerships, distribution channels and government/commercial stakeholder engagement.
