Position Summary

The Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the successful planning, execution, and closeout of commercial construction projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients, this role helps ensure projects stay organized, on schedule, and compliant with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination from preconstruction through closeout
  • Prepare, track, and distribute project documentation including submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and change orders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project files in project management systems
  • Coordinate scheduling updates, material deliveries, and subcontractor communications
  • Assist with procurement, including purchase orders and subcontractor agreements
  • Track project costs, budgets, and job cost reports; assist with billing and pay applications
  • Help ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and quality control procedures
  • Participate in project meetings and support follow-up on action items
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams, field personnel, and external partners
  • Assist with project closeout documentation, including warranties, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction coordination or project support (preferred)
  • Experience working on projects within healthcare, industrial, manufacturing, or public-sector environments is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with construction management software a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Familiarity with construction documents, drawings, and specifications
