Client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large scale IT transformation and modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will manage cross functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders while overseeing project delivery from planning through execution. This role requires extensive experience managing enterprise technology projects, change management initiatives, and stakeholder engagement in complex environments. Key Responsibilities
- Lead end to end delivery of enterprise IT projects and modernization programs.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, and change requests.
- Coordinate technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders across multiple divisions.
- Develop and maintain project governance, reporting, and performance tracking mechanisms.
- Create and execute stakeholder engagement and organizational change management strategies.
- Conduct business process analysis, impact assessments, and readiness evaluations.
- Provide project updates, recommendations, and strategic guidance to senior leadership.
- Oversee testing activities, defect management, quality assurance, and project documentation.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
- Support procurement activities, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
Required Qualifications Must Have
- 10+ years of project management experience delivering large scale IT initiatives.
- Proven experience using Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative delivery methodologies.
- PMP Certification (active and in good standing with PMI).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience leading requirements gathering, business process mapping, and impact analysis workshops.
- Experience managing project documentation including:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
- Functional and Non Functional Requirements
- Use Cases
- BPM/BPMN Process Flows
- Data Models
- Architecture Diagrams
- Technical Design Specifications
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and change management experience.
Nice to Have
- Public sector or government project experience.
- Experience with legacy system modernization and replacement initiatives.
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, and procurement processes.
- Organizational Change Management expertise.
