General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for rail transit projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, monitoring, and final delivery to meet customer expectations on scope, quality, safety, and cost.
- Oversee and coordinate engineering, construction, and system integration activities across civil works, trackwork, signaling, electrical & mechanical systems, communications, and station facilities.
- Review and manage project plans, technical drawings, and system configurations; ensure alignment with client requirements, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Supervise and control subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual conditions, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Participate in tender and bidding processes by analyzing project requirements and preparing implementation strategies.
- Plan project resources and budgets, manage procurement activities, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Act as a primary liaison with government agencies, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and timely approvals.
- Ensure compliance with international rail standards, local regulations, and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize project efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance operational outcomes.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Solid industry knowledge and background in rail transit or large-scale transportation infrastructure projects.
- Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience, with at least 3 years in rail or transportation-related projects.
- Strong understanding of system integration in rail projects, including track, power supply, signaling, and station facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- High sense of responsibility, adaptability, and professional ethics; willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
- Proficiency in English.
