Role Summary
Facilitates Agile teams in delivering IT projects by practicing servant leadership, removing impediments, and ensuring adherence to Scrum principles. Creates an environment that enables team success and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
– Coach teams and stakeholders to adopt and embody Agile principles and Scrum values, emphasizing self-organization and collaboration.
– Partner with Product Owners to clarify priorities, maintain accessible communication, and support effective backlog management.
– Identify, remove, and strategically prevent impediments that impact team performance or delivery.
– Foster productive interactions within the team and with external stakeholders to maintain alignment and consensus.
– Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and functional leadership to ensure the organization provides the tools, processes, and environment needed for agility.
– Promote a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and accountability across the Agile lifecycle.
Required Experience
– Five (5) years of experience enabling Agile principles and Scrum values for IT project teams.
– Demonstrated success coaching (not directing) Scrum teams and stakeholders throughout the Agile process lifecycle.
– Strong working knowledge of Scrum frameworks, Agile methodologies, and team level delivery practices.
Minimum Education
– Bachelor’s degree in business, behavioral science, computer science, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
Certifications
– Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I).
