Position: SECURITY SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Duties
* As senior level security specialist implements and administers the overall Security Program for Special Access Programs (SAP).
* As technical expert administers the Physical Security Program.
* Overseas the the Personnel Security Program, provides policy interpretation for the Personnel Security Program at SAP locations within the COCOM and subordinate components.
* Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA). Requirements Conditions of employment

* Position is designated special-sensitive and requires the employee obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to SCI/SAPs

* This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position
* Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays

Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. This is an NH-03 position with full salary potential within that band, however the initial salary range offered for this position will be $76,463.00 to $ which includes locality pay percentage, unless statutory rules prevail.

EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include managing access to an installation, restricted areas, traffic and crowd control, crime prevention; developing, processing, and maintaining systems, guidance and procedures KNOWLEDGE,

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Expert knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, independently analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems; apply policy direction to contractors and government/military officials, and develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls.
2. Knowledge of a broad range of security program relationships, and proficiency in information, personnel, and industrial security to effectively implement and administer applicable security programs and/or coordinate with other specialized security programs.
