Senior Procurement Officer | Damascus, Syria
Assets Group is looking for a highly motivated Senior Procurement Officer to join our team in Damascus, Syria. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to support procurement operations, drive supplier performance, and ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full procurement cycle, from sourcing and supplier selection to purchase order issuance and delivery follow-up.
- Obtain competitive quotations, conduct commercial evaluations, and negotiate pricing and contract terms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare periodic procurement reports.
- Support contract administration and vendor management activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, preferably within construction, real estate, hospitality, or diversified business environments.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract administration.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is an advantage.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
- Must be based in Syria or willing to relocate to Damascus.
