Become a key player in health policy development at SLFNHA this summer. This role emphasizes analysis and planning to support First Nations health services.
As a Summer Student in the Strategic Policy, Planning, and Quality team, you will assist with the implementation and evaluation of strategic plans that address health initiatives for First Nations communities. You will communicate policy impacts and aid in monitoring related legislative changes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research and analyze health service-related policies
• Evaluate and discuss future planning cycles with stakeholders
• Draft strategic correspondence and policy proposals
• Facilitate connections between policy directions and First Nations
• Identify funding opportunities through partnerships
Requirements:
• Preference for candidates of First Nations heritage
• Capability to engage with culturally diverse populations
• Enrolled in health policy, public health, or similar field
• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office and similar tools
