Job Summary

The Vice President Projects (Technical Affairs) is responsible for leading the planning, development, execution, and governance of the organization's capital projects portfolio. The role oversees all technical, engineering, design, construction, and project delivery activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, within budget, and in alignment with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and international best practices.

The VP will provide strategic leadership across multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders while driving operational excellence, project governance, risk management, quality assurance, and innovation throughout the project lifecycle.

  • pDevelop and execute the organization's project delivery strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and long-term development plans
  • .Lead the technical affairs and project management functions across all capital development and infrastructure initiatives
  • .Establish project governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls to ensure successful project execution
  • .Advise executive management on technical, engineering, and project-related matters

.Project Development & Deliver

  • yOversee the full project lifecycle from feasibility studies, concept design, planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover
  • .Ensure projects are delivered according to approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • .Monitor project performance through established KPIs and executive reporting mechanisms
  • .Review and approve project execution plans, technical specifications, engineering designs, and construction methodologies
  • .Lead value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and operational requirements

.Engineering & Technical Affair

  • sDirect all engineering disciplines including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and infrastructure works
  • .Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, industry standards, and international engineering practices
  • .Oversee technical reviews, design coordination, constructability assessments, and technical due diligence activities
  • .Drive innovation and adoption of modern construction technologies and digital engineering solutions

.Stakeholder Managemen

  • tManage relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies, consultants, contractors, and strategic partners
  • .Collaborate with internal business units to align project objectives with operational and commercial requirements
  • .Present project progress, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership and governance committees

.Financial & Commercial Oversigh

  • tDevelop and manage annual project budgets and capital expenditure plans
  • .Monitor project financial performance and ensure effective cost control measures
  • .Review and approve major contracts, variation orders, claims, and procurement strategies
  • .Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiencies

  • eEstablish robust risk management frameworks across the project portfolio
  • .Ensure implementation of quality management systems and project assurance processes
  • .Promote a strong culture of health, safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence

Qualificatio
