The role of the Senior Business Officer is to provide accurate information and advice in financial, human resource, performance reporting and business management for the Disability Services division.
As a Senior Business Officer You Will
- Provide advice and support to the Manager Business Support, Director Operations and Deputy Director-General Disability Services on human resource, financial and administrative processes including the development and oversight of human resource, financial and administrative systems.
- Manage reporting mechanisms for a large number of cost centres and prepare budgets, forecasts, and estimates ensuring adherence to relevant Acts, Regulations and Departmental delegations, policies and procedures.
- Monitor and review human resource management and ensure adherence to relevant Awards, Regulations and Departmental delegations, policies and procedures.
- Supervise business services administration staff and monitor work flow and workload management for business services and provide support and advice to senior administration staff located across a number of service centres and participate in staff training and appraisal and development.
- Prepare reports, briefs and correspondence on a diverse range of issues as required by senior management.
- Coordinate and support performance reporting and other governance functions for the service area.
- Contribute to the development of operational plans and strategies consistent with the Department's five year strategic plan and its associated goals and objectives.
- Enhance the performance of the business services team by actively practicing and promoting excellence in service delivery and public administration and identifying opportunities for improvement.
